Debunking Myths about Wearing a Binder!
Do you have any question about the material that influence your wearing experience?
Let us tell you more!
Myth 1: Can you wear a binder all day?
Wearing a binder for an entire day is not recommended as it applies some degree of compression on the chest.
For the sake of breast health, it is advised to remove the binder while sleeping and allow your chest to relax and breathe.
If you're concerned about excessive chest compression, you can opt for a sports bra instead.
Myth 2: Will a binder become loose?
The answer is yes! Just like how a T-shirt gets frills over time or socks start to slide down, binders, whether hand-washed or machine-washed, will eventually loosen. Even the most durable hook and loop binders can be adjusted to be tighter, but with extended wear, the fabric will gradually lose its elasticity.
Additionally, binders are mostly black, making it difficult to detect mold. If the material contains cotton, it can develop mold just like regular underwear. We all have the notion of regularly changing our underwear, and since binders are also considered underwear, it's important to replace them with a new one regularly.
